SoundGTM: A New Seattle Startup Aims to Revolutionize B2B Sales Strategies

Seattle-based startup SoundGTM has officially launched its marketplace platform, aiming to transform the way B2B companies scale their sales operations. Led by tech veterans Jenn Steele and Kevin Boehm, they offer a referral-based marketplace that matches companies with experienced go-to-market (GTM) professionals, offering an innovative alternative to traditional affiliate and partnership programs.

Companies looking to increase their sales can post offers on the platform after paying a small annual fee. The startup matches them with experienced sellers (referral partners) based on their needs. If key milestones are reached - such as getting qualified leads or closing deals - the company pays a commission, of which 80% goes to the referral partner and the rest to SoundGTM. This pay-for-success model allows companies to define their sales targets and pay only for results.

Its success-based sales approach differentiates it from traditional models. Companies can incentivize a variety of outcomes, such as webinar attendance or qualified leads, and the platform helps recruit salespeople if no suitable candidates are initially found.

The company benefits from strong leadership, with Jenn Steele, former CEO of Kissmetrics, and Kevin Boehm, former CEO of GlobaliD and former chief product officer at Amazon. Their deep experience in technology and sales gives them a competitive advantage in reshaping the way B2B companies approach their go-to-market strategies.

With $325,000 in seed funding and several beta customers on board, SoundGTM is poised to expand its influence in the B2B sector. The startup was also part of the WTIA Founder Cohort program and the MIT Alumni Accelerator, further validation of its potential.
